Ibanez showcase models are among the absolute top class of Japanese guitar making. And the Japanese have impressively confirmed this with the Saber model “S2009-SC”, which was limited to just 50 units at the Frankfurt Music Fair 2009.

A beautifully grained camphor tree body, 5-piece maple/walnut neck with firework inlays made of abalone and silver, plus solid silver inlays in the body, etc. It doesn't get much more lavish than this and yet the Ibanez doesn't look overly cluttered but rather looks absolutely harmonious in combination with the ZR-2 tremolo and the pickups. That's something you have to achieve first. But boutique is no longer a foreign word at Ibanez and the Japanese know how to meet all requirements. 

• The body of the S2009SC is made of the beautiful figured camphor burl wood. Handmade inlays of silver gives the instrument a very classy touch. These models are strictly limited and just for a limited time. They are exclusively 100% handmade in a very special production line with strictly selected woods. The instruments strike with top quality and reflect the experience and skills of the Japanese master luthiers.
• Finish: Camphor Tree Burl, with Cosmo Black hardware & precisely treated inlays of real silver. - A prime example of the perfectionistic craftsmanship of Japan.
• Body: Beautiful burl wood of the camphor tree. - The camphor tree(Cinnamomum camphora) is found in China, Taiwan and Japan. Through its distinguish and irregular figure, the durable wood is preferably used for decorative furniture..
• Neck: Maple / walnut, 5-pc. "Wizard Prestige" neck profile. Bolt-on neck construction - this enables a fast, precise attack response, while retaining a full, "fat" tone.
• Scale: 25.5" - standard.
• Fretboard: Rosewood, with delicate "Firework" inlays of pearloid & abalone.

• Nut: 43 mm - FR-style locking nut.

The Ibanez ZPS3 (Zero Point System) made of Duralumin prevents the typical tuning problems of a locking tremolosystem. By easy deinstallation, a floating setup is possible.
• Pickups: 1x Ibanez HGD1 (neck) humbucker, 1x Ibanez ST2 (middle) singlecoil, 1x Ibanez HGD2 (bridge) humbucker. This combination is very versatile, provides lots of gain for aggressive sounds as well as crispy clean sounds with the singlecoil in the middle-position.

Colleagues, relatives and friends said goodbye to Akaga's bassist Krasi Kurtev. The pilgrimage took place in the Cathedral "St. Nedelya" in Sofia.

A smiling, kind and clean man - this is how Krasi Kurtev will always remain for his loved ones.

"He brought people together and he will be greatly missed, just because of that - he was a bright man, a very bright man," commented Georgi Velev from the group.

 Krasimir Kurtev, a founding member of the band 'Akaga', has passed away, as confirmed by his close relatives on December 30.

Born on July 25, 1970, in Sofia, Kurtev graduated from the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" and later earned a higher degree from the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov." Kurtev was a prominent figure in the music industry, co-founding the band 'Akaga'. He was also one of the founders of the Bulgarian Music Association (BMA) and a member of Teosto, Finland.

"The grief is great, we have been together for more than 40 years. We have to accept it somehow - the way he accepted life, gently and with a smile," said Ivo Kazasov from "Akaga".

President Rumen Radev expressed condolences to the family, relatives and colleagues of Krasimir Kurtev on the death of the prominent musician and co-founder, vocalist and bassist of the iconic Bulgarian band Akaga.

"Krassimir Kurtev will be remembered for his diverse creativity and the vivid wit with which he charmed people. He was an exceptional musician with an unparalleled mastery and flair in combining a variety of genres," Radev emphasised. The President highlighted the talent of the great Bulgarian musician who expanded the horizons of our native musical culture with remarkable compositions and changed it fundamentally.

"I am sure that Krassimir Kurtev will continue to live in the hearts of the audience as a worthy example of professionalism and creativity,"  the President further said and emphasized that the musician will remain an inexhaustible inspiration for young people and future generations of Bulgarian artists.
